I read this post by Alex Brooke on his blog. Of course, using Flash, Shockwave and other streaming presentation formats is not new in education - but I thought this was a fairly interesting implementation.

When I was in Grade 8 in high school I remember sitting in one of those old science class rooms (you know - the ones with the graduated floors) watching a video on a T.V. screen smaller than my laptop screen while some actors raced through a series of scenes while I struggled to write down notes (the language was Japanese).

Alex's format would work better for me, I'm also interested to hear more about Alex's other adventures in Japan since my little brother is looking at living over there for a few years after he finishes is degree this year.
