BusNicola went out to a scrapbooking thingo today (everything Nic does is a thingo) and Bella (~3–yo daughter) and I decided to head down the the shopping centre. Our original plan was to go to Tuggeranong but after consulting the Sunday bus schedule it was obvious that a trip to Woden would be faster (they only run every hour or so on Sunday).

Things went swimingly once we finally got out of the house. Bella was really enjoying the trip which takes us up onto the hills and gives us a great view of the Tuggeranong valley on the way to Woden. It was then that that I realised that I had left my Filofax on my desk at home (I thought it was in my backpack).

You know when you forget something important and a whole heap of scenarios run through you head about how you can salvage the trip? Yeah – I turned up a blank.

Bella and I camped out in a shelter at the bus terminal and waited about an hour and half for the next bus back to Gilmore. It wasn’t too bad, and Bella was very well behaved.

I actually had my laptop on me (thats actually why I thought my filofax was in there, the weight) so I decided to catch up on a few e-mails and Bella used my backpack as a sleeping back for her stuffed toys.

After Bella got bored of that I packed up the laptop and we played a game of catch inside the shelter with the Indigo ball that I got from the Ascend Training. You can actually see a picture of one on William Tay’s blog.

After we got back home we had to wait an hour for the next bus back to the shopping centre although this time we actually went to Tuggeranong. While there we went to the bookstore, got a few groceries and ate chinese.

We spent most of the day out and about but I really enjoyed it, and Bella got to catch four buses (Nic’s scrapbook thingo also produced some excellent results).
