For the last couple of weeks I haven't been cutting much code. Instead I have been spending about eighty percent of my time helping the team I am working with finalise their release and ensuring that the server that it is getting installed on is ready for roll-out.

I don't mind doing it, especially since in a past life I used to do more of it than software development, but its a timely reminder to me as a software engineer how tricky it can be to get an application installed, even more so if you didn't have insight into the internal workings of the application.

Because of this I will re-double my efforts to simplify the application installation in the next version and increase the amount of supporting documentation.
