Well – I’m here in Wagga Wagga sitting in bed doing last minute preparation for my talk tomorrow on day one of Code Camp Oz 2006. I drove down from Canberra this morning. I actually left home with my wife Nicola and daughter Bella early this morning so that we could go and see the pin-drop competition at the Canberra Balloon Fiesta. After that I got dropped off at the Canberra airport to pick up to the hire car that I am using this weekend.

The trip down was pretty good and I joined a convoy with Dan Green who was driving down from Sydney. I parted ways with Dan when I pulled into the Wagga Wagga Airport to pick Greg Low up who is also one of the organisers of the Code Camp event.

We both checked into the motel and made tracks out to the university campus to find out exactly there Joyes Hall is located. Looking through the windows it looks like everything is setup for the first day so we should be good to go.

After a short nap it was time for dinner and we headed into Montezuma’s Mexiacan Restaurant which we had informally arranged for folks to congregate at via the [aus-dotnet] mailing list. I estimate that about fifty or so people turned up and there was some good conversation to be had.

Anyway – time to sign-off. I’m going to try and blog about each session tomorrow but since I’ll be involved in some logistical issues we’ll see how we go. I’ll definately post a summary like this one tomorrow night at some stage.
