Yesterday I installed Team Foundation Server (BETA 3) in a dual server configuration. The installation was very straight-forward – the trick? Follow the TFS Installation Guide to the letter.
The installation guide steps you through ensuring all your pre-requisites are in place and then putting each product in place and verifying its success. The thing about the guide is that it has really been forged in the real world. I know that Rob Caron is listening to feedback out there in the blogosphere and making improvements to the document over time – thats why its such a robust process today.
So a big thanks goes out to Rob for the great work he has done. I know from experience that I would have taken many wrong turns during the installation.
