Gen-M: Recruitment for Generation Microsoft - Richards first post!

4 10 2005

Richard has just started a blog. He has just started a recruitment company called Gen-M which seems to have three really important goals:

  1. Help candidates build their career with Microsoft technology.
  2. Help clients find quality Microsoft technology candidates.
  3. Make IT recruitment suck less.

That last one is really important because for a long time now I’ve felt that the IT recruitment business is a bit of a meat market where the quality of the meat isn’t all that important.

After talking to Richard a bit it seems he wants to change the perception and part of that is starting a blog so that you can give him direct feedback (so go and do it!).

I’d love to see the community get behind this experiment, and I think the feedback of folks like Geoff Orr would be most interesting – especially given his opinion of recruiters in general.

Disclaimer: In the interests of public disclosure I am one of the folks that Richard will be calling on to do technical assessments – so I might have some bias here.
