After my laptop outage I hadn’t had a chance to pull down my feeds for a while so I’ve been playing a game of catch up, but Kim is putting together an internal newsletter for release on Monday and sent out a vote via Outlook to everyone asking what the “Readify Blog of the Week” was so I thought I would do the rounds of the Readify blogs first so I could put my vote in.

Kim would have gotten my vote if this post was made in the week in question. She mentions that she has been reading “The Origin of Brands” by Al and Laura Ries. I haven’t read the book but I’ve had some of Al Ries collaborations recommended to me in the past years by various individuals. One of these days I hope to sit down and read these two gems:

  • The 22 Immutable Laws of Branding
  • The 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing

Not because I am in to marketing per se, but more because I love analytical thinking and books like this just ozze it – the good ones do anyway.

I don’t know if Kim really closed the loop in her post – but I think there is an open question there, does Readify diverge or evolve? What would each scenario look like and what the penalties and rewards of making that decision.
