An important day for Isabella.

For those of you who don’t know, Isabella is my daughter and tonight Nicola and I assembled her first bed. I’m pleased to report that she seems to have taken to it just fine. My little girl is growing up.

Just about to order my Grace her first bed, it all happens to fast. It only seems like yesterday she took her first steps.

We put our eldest daughter into a bed last year.

The coolest thing about it?

When they both climb into our bed, I can nick off into her bed and actually get a good nights sleep!

Dude, welcome to the bigger world. We put our Issy in a big bed last year, and man it makes a difference. It's now so easy to sit next to her while she's in bed and read, rather than battling through the bars of the cot.

I've got something to recommend. There were times when she didn't want to get into bed and wanted her cot back. She's never asked for it since we got her the canopy in this pic for christmas: http://www.kayslifestyle.co.uk/assets/agency/XL/T/T1908AP704.jpg

Thanks for the tip. We have some netting for her room but no where to hang it off, this canopy might be the answer.

No worries dude. I can't remember where we picked it up - spotlight or kmart or toyworld, something like that.

Do you have a disney princess daughter too? Everything is princesses, or fairies or pink or some damn thing! I won't say I'm sick of it, but occasionally it'd be nice if some variety would come in! :)
