GAD shares some news. Personally I think you are putting a bit of spin on it, but I can kind of understand how out of the three pillars of Longhorn, WinFS is the one that could be pushed back. See we need a comms stack and a UI platform to deliver on, but for a long time data will be coming from existing centralised data store than a distributed data store.
